WHAT WE DO
:
Our Girl Rising Club seeks to raise awareness about gender inequality and the need for education for girls around the world. As a club, we first seek to understand the issues by doing research, inviting guest speakers, and attending events in San Diego. We advocate within our Rhoades Community using social media, speaking to our classmates, and holding community events, such as the Girl Rising Bazaar. Finally, we fundraise to support education for girls who are the first in their family to receive an education.
